In July 1993, the fourth and so far last generation of the Supra came on the market. Internationally, this type is called " Supra MKIV ".

    Toyota Supra MKIII

In early 1986, the third generation of the Supra was introduced. It is also the first that has not been marketed with the suffix Celica.

    Celica Supra (MK2)

The second generation was presented in the fall of 1981 and had a completely independent drive with the new (170 hp) 6-cylinder engines.

The first Supra built from spring 1978 to summer 1981 was still offered as a top version of the Celica first in Japan and later in the United States.

Guten Tag Gott!

"I also heard that there is a A343E also, but I also don't know what all the exact differences are yet. Someone also told me that the A343 is basically the JDM version of the A340E that is in the USDM MKIV TT Supras. But again that is only what I have heard. The person that told me this, told me that the major differences are in the clutch packages, and pressure hardware (how hard they shift/hp they are setup for). "

That´s what I just found..... :grinning:

Seems the A 340 E is US Spec and A 343 is Eu spec ??

I had buy a JAP SPEC Supra TT Tranny and i send it to Boostlogic in Amerika. Boostlogic upgrade the tranny and send it to me.Its a 340 tranny. :grinning:
A 3040 is the NUMBER on the Tranny.
    343 is stronger as 340.
343 have 7 forward clutch and 340 have only 6 clutch.
343 have 5 direct clutch and 340 have only 5 clutch.
    340 is good for 500PS and 343 for 1000 PS.(or 550)

And now get ready to listen the truth...
A340E for TT MKIV has the same amount of clutches as A343E. The only difference is the ratio of 4th gear and possibly some differences in line pressures and electronic nuances.
Andi's photo helped very much and everybody can compare it with this picture www.mkiv.com/specifications/ncf/ncf93/ncf134.jpg
